An Intimate look at the complex human mosaic of the French Hospital St. Louis in Jerusalem.
The hospital, managed and run by nuns, is an island of compassion and grace, symbolically located exactly in the border between East and West Jerusalem opposite the old city walls. The old mosaic on its walls embodies the diverse lives that pass through this building.
The film provides an intimate rare look at the patients and the personnel in the hospital.
The Island was screened in film festivals around the world and won many prizes.
